Richard Warren FieldRichard Warren Field - Writer/Musician

Back in my high school days, many years ago (many, many, many─okay, over 40 years ago), my friend Gary Black, fellow high school band member and familiar with my creative adventures, shared an intriguing idea. As he became aware of my songwriting and of my compositions for high school jazz band and concert band, he suggested that if I really wanted to write something that would be lucrative and spend a long time in the public awareness, I would write a Christmas song. I never forgot his suggestion. It just took me four decades to act on it!

I am on the verge of the release of Songbook I. But, as I am very possibly insane or at least pathologically eccentric, I have completed detailed plans for the arrangements for all the songs for “Songbook II” and “Christmas Songbook”. Drum and bass tracks are already recorded for both of those CDs. Rhythm keyboard tracks are on the horizon for both.
